Our client is a successful and ambitious consumer financial services business. They are currently looking for a business development manager to take responsibility for building and developing their broker introduced business channel across the UK. The role will be based remotely, with frequent travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for new business acquisition with introductory sources and managing and building relationships with existing brokers.
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of and preferably have a relationship with, the key brokers contacts within financial services.
  • Analyse broker performance and identify areas of improvement.
  • Develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and influence the contribution of the channel.
  • Successfully negotiate contracts and cost effective terms of business.
  • Develop and implement a programme of engagement, including forums, seminars, events and marketing.
  • Plan and co-ordinate strategies to maximise new products that the business is currently developing.
  • Support the preparation of business plans, budgets and forecasts.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive experience developing business within a broker-introducer channel in financial services.
  • A self-starter able to negotiate and win business from small and large introducers.
  • Excellent relationship management skills.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills at all levels including owner and board room level.
  • Excellent sales, pitching and influencing skills.
  • Ability to analyse and understand business development metrics and be commercially aware.
  • Energetic, highly motivated and self-driven.
