Job Description :

Our client is seeking a Regional Sales Manager - UK, Mids (ref: J2047) focussing on the construction finance and related sectors including general assets to account manage and business develop a customer base within Mids geographical region.

REGIONAL SALES MANAGER - KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Pro-actively manage a database of customers and prospects within the agreed geographical area to build solid and long lasting working relationships.
Promote our client's services to prospective manufacturers and distributors within the construction and hard asset sectors.
Where required act as relationship manager for existing vendor relationships.
Negotiate with customer key decision makers to generate commercially acceptable transactions.
Obtain financial and non-financial information to complete credit applications for sanctioning within the credit process.
Manage personal activity and pipeline to ensure personal targets are achieved.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of activity and results using CRM and other systems as required and advised from time to time.
Work as part of a regional team reporting to the Regional Director.
Demonstrate an awareness of competitor activity and market developments and feeding this back as required.
Contribute to the regional and wider business development strategy through positive interaction with other members of the team.
Represent client at trade exhibitions, events and functions as may be required from time to time.

REGIONAL SALES MANAGER - PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Previous asset finance sales experience within a highly targeted sales led organisation.
Demonstrate proven success in sales career to date.
Ideally some construction sector experience.
Clean driving license.
Ability to clearly articulate an understanding of the regulatory environment in which an asset finance business operates.
Although not essential candidates will ideally be educated to at least ‘A’ level in English and Maths.
Interpersonal skills will be every bit as important as formal qualifications and the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate and articulate the benefits of both.
Willingness to travel and overnight away from home when required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Solid demonstrable commercial negotiation skills
Ability to work within a robust team environment.
Ability to demonstrate ongoing understanding of key performance drivers.
Ability to work on own initiative as role is home based.
PC skills to include Excel, Word & PowerPoint
Ability to manage self in a constantly changing environment
